About us: why Budnuts exists and what we measure ourselves against

This page is not selling you anything. It tells you who is behind budnuts.de, why this shop exists and which rules we work by. Two of those rules are short enough to fit into hashtags: #keinfirlefanz (no frills, no gimmicks) and #dickundharzig (thick and resinous). Here is what they stand for.

Who we are

Behind budnuts.de is Bäste GmbH: a small team, not a corporation, not an agency with a target-group slide deck. Before this shop existed, we spent years working with real passion in the most varied corners of this industry and its scene. We saw plenty that inspired us, and a few things we eventually wanted to do better ourselves.

Since Germany's Cannabis Act of 2024 (CanG), adults here have been allowed to grow at home within the legal framework. For the first time, that opened the door to treating the subject the way it deserves: openly, factually, with proper products instead of grey-area folklore. That is exactly why Budnuts exists. We are building the shop we always wished we had as growers.

Only what works

Our BUDXXL nutrient line is built on our own formulas, developed and bottled in Germany. Every bottle has a clearly defined job in the feeding schedule: growth, bloom, roots, calcium and magnesium, flower boost, plant strengthening. Anything without a job does not make it onto our shelf.

The formulas themselves remain our trade secret. What each bottle does and when to use it, however, we explain in full detail: the feeding schedule guide tells you for every week of the cycle what goes into the tank and why.

That honesty includes the uncomfortable kind. Where the scientific evidence is thin, we say so instead of repeating a claim just because it sells. That is why our guides come with references to scientific publications and not with miracle stories.

Your data is not a commodity

You may have noticed that budnuts.de is unusually quiet: no cookie banner, no consent obstacle course, no ads following you around. That is not an oversight. There is simply nothing here you would need to consent to.

• ✓Statistics without cookies: our visitor stats run on our own infrastructure, without profiles and without data flowing to third parties.
• ✓Our own infrastructure: shop, chat, fonts and servers are run by us, instead of being bought in from advertising corporations.
• ✕Advertising and social media pixels: none. No Google Ads pixel, no Meta, no TikTok.
• ✕Selling or sharing your data: never. Your data only leaves us to the extent that shipping, payment and the law strictly require.

With our product range, this is no footnote. What you grow at home is nobody's business, and neither is your purchase from us. The best illustration of how far we take this is our self-hosted chat: we would rather do the work ourselves than put your data on someone else's servers.

Even the bäste nutrients are useless without knowledge

That sentence sits under every one of our posts, and we mean it. You can buy nutrients in many places. Turning them into a good harvest takes knowledge: about pH and EC, about nutrients, about drying and curing. That is why we write grow guides from cutting to finished bud, free of charge, with no sign-up, and regardless of whether you buy from us.

We do not want to leave a single question open. If one remains anyway, the chat window in the bottom right corner is the shortest way to reach us, no account needed.

Direct and fair

Our home is our own shop. That means short distances: you talk directly to the people who make the products, not to the support inbox of some platform. And it means we set the terms ourselves, by our own standards:

Ask a question there and you will get an honest answer. Even when the answer is: you do not need another product for that.

#keinfirlefanz (German for "no frills") is the rule every decision here is measured against. Whatever brings you no benefit gets cut: from the bottle, from the website, from the ordering process. What remains is what actually helps you and your plants.

#dickundharzig (German for "thick and resinous") is the benchmark we let ourselves be judged by. In the end, what counts is what hangs in your tent. Products, feeding schedule, guides and community all serve that single purpose, and you are welcome to hold everything we do to it.

So when you come across these two hashtags from now on, you know what they mean. And if we ever fall short of them: tell us. We listen, that is part of the concept.
